Initial Hockey Evaluation

Initial Hockey Evaluation and enrollment process

Upon registering, all athletes will undergo an initial evaluation by our coaches to determine their appropriate placement within the Corobus Curriculum training levels. This assessment ensures that each player is placed in the level best suited to their current skills and abilities. Our coaches will continue to monitor progress during lessons, making adjustments as needed to ensure each athlete is challenged appropriately. As part of this ongoing evaluation process, players may move up or down a level to maximize their development and get the most out of their training.

Our training is structured into multiple age groups and skill levels, categorized by color. For hockey, the current levels are:

  • White: Learn-to-play (LTP) and mid-level house players

  • Gray: Upper-level house players through mid-level travel players

  • Blue: Upper-level travel players through AAA travel players

As our programs grow, we will introduce additional levels to ensure every player in a group is training alongside others of similar skill.

The initial evaluation is included in the required enrollment fee, which ensures that your athlete is placed in the correct training level from the start. This fee covers both the evaluation and the administrative costs of setting up your athlete’s personalized training plan.
